My Skincare Favourites

My Skincare Favourites

Hello my loves, these are my sworn by favourite skincare products and tools. I hope you will find them of some use. These are not affiliate links and i veered off from linking to amazon since i'm trying to shop else where these days.

Heimish cleansing balm and garnier rose cleansing milk

The Heimish balm was a game changer when i started using it and i've struggled to settle with my old favourite, the garnier rose cleansing lotion. I now prefer to use the heimish balm religiously but when money is a little tighter one month, i tend to veer back to the garner cleansing milk. The Heimish balm, does a better job of removing pretty much the majority of makeup of my face. I came to this conclusion after observing damn near no foundation on my pillow cases. The garnier cleansing milk, does the job but i would recommend using a cleanser to get the same effect. I use it alongside my erase your face remover cloths.

'byoma' moisturising gel cream or 'freederm' moisturiser or 'estée lauder' daywear matte oil-control anti-oxidant moisturiser gel crème

As an oily skin / combination skin babe, i swear by these three moisturisers.

'garnier' rose toner

Quite literally babe, if you struggle with oily skin, you need this in your daily routine

'dudu-osun' black soap and 'jumiso' cleansing gel

if you have too much sebum or too much oil on your face, the dou-dou soap will do the trick to reduce how oily your face is. The jumiso cleanser, i enjoyed using simply because it lasted agesssss and honestly, didn't mess me up. It did the job, that's it. I tried out other cleansers and they did not inspire a 'yep, would buy again.

'friendly soap' aloe vera soap bar & 'aloe pura' aloe vera gel

I only just returned to soaps recently because i realised, i want to simplify my life and not have to fight another bottle trying to squeeze out the last bit. Enter friendly soap, a soap bar company that literally blew my mind when i found out, shaving bars are a thing. And boy oh boy, i fell in love with that shaving bar so much so, when i decided to chop my hair off to simplify my life and treat my dry scalp, i thought to myself. Wait, shampoo bars are a thing?! And now, i can't imagine my life not using soap. This aloe vera isn't even for hair but since i've had long term success with aloe vera sorting my zits, i figured, lets try the soap and bam! My scalp feels good (it took, i think a week of washing with this aloe bar and using one dollop of rosemary hair oil to get my scalp feeling less dry and itchy). For my face, sis, i alway and i mean always, have aloe vera gel as part of my routine. Not having it in my routine proved to be extremely foolish because my skin was not happy. Aloe Pura is budget friendly but please shop around for sometihing entirely organic and below £7.99 if you can manage it.

'friendly soap' shaving bar & 'the sustainable marketplace' re-usable razor

I already told you this shaving bar quite literally turned me back into a soap babe. For shaving, i choose this and will always choose this because one, i hated using chemical hair removers because of the smell and also, don't want that anywhere near my hooha. This lathers well and even makes my razor blades glide better than those gelled blades. The sustainable marketplace reusable razor, game changer for me as i hate disposal razors in general. And this one, you can get in cute little colours and it comes with a nice packet of about ten razor blades but don't quote me on that. The ease of fitting the razor blades is also a selling point because it's unscrew, line up the holes on the razor, screw it back on, done and done.

'bondi sands' sunscreen lotion spf 50 - fragrance free

Sis, this is by far, in my opinion, the best, most effective, price friendly, accessible (you can get it in superdrug, boots and other shops on the high street), value for money sunscreen in the UK. I don't care about your faves...yet.

'botanics' organic revitalising toning mist & 'botanics' reusable silicone sheet mask

If you wanted a face mist that didn't make your face feel abit 'i've got a spray on to keep this foundation from getting on my clothes so i'll put up with the stiff feel of it'. This is the face mist for you. It's organic, smells like a lovely, with a refreshing hint of herbs, nourishing without making you oily later  and better yet, religiously keeps most of my foundation off my clothes. The sheet mask, perfect for placing over your face after skincare in the

'farm stay' blueberry sheet mask'

Baby girl, if you want a glow for the next day, this mask is it. It's an indulgence and makes me feel guilty but I'm using up my last ones and trying to see if i can find the right ampoule or essence on FarmStay's website since they are the ones who made it.

'aesop' body balm (geranium leaf body balm)   & 'aesop' resurrection rinse-free hand mist (sanitiser)

These are a bit pricey but honey, these are my staples now. The scent, calming, the feel, so light, nourishing and feel luxurious. Bonus points, the hand sanitiser is only £11 and goes a long way. In addition to being a much better way to dispense hand sanitiser while in transit on the tube with way too mant bags. The smell on these, literally makes me feel like i can take on the day and that i smell goodt.

'Tisserand' Rosemary Hair Oil

These days babe, for hair care, i've chosen ease and functional. Which is the same reason i chopped my thick hair off in the fist place. No regrets. The dispensing nozzle on this bottle shocked me. In a good way. Sis, this one is a press down and squirt out the right size amount and not the pippet or dropper. Game changer. And i never realised how much I love a herby scent to my usual sweet scent. Am I witch now?

 'caudalie' beauty elixir

This mist, as an oily skin girly, i use on days I'm not wearing makeup or in the winter when i have less oily skin and need more hydration. IIt's refreshing, hydrating and gives a nice dewy finish. A bit pricey but the big bottle goes a long way.

'tree hut' pineapple shea sugar scrub'tree hut' vanilla whipped body butter

They smell bloody good, use real sugar so low to no terrible impact to the planet and leave my skin smooth and feeling so good. Bonus, totally good for my mental health. The price is the only con as each container is about £10 - £15 but there's always a deal on.

'cheeky panda' bamboo face wipes

These come in handy when i am tired as fudge and i literally have nothing in the tank. Or when its too cold in my space in the dead of winter. i live in a really cold house babes and when it comes to my taps, i have to run the water a little bit before i get warm water. do you see it now? These cheeky panda wipes, diodegradable and the brand itself appears to be committed to not harm the planet so, here and there, one pack over a month and half.

'erase your face by danielle creations' makeup remover cloths

These cloths, literal magic. I wear powder and foundation and baby, when i say i was shocked! shocked i tell you. My friend told me about this and i haven't looked back. the magic is in the fact, all that's needed to get my makeup off if warm water and one of these cloths. Of course, it doesn't hurt to still use a cleanser as well.

'Wild' Deodorant

This deodorant has changed my armpit life, i swear down. it feels good, all natural, a cute refillable shell, climate friendly, easily accessible refills as in alot of shops carry it on the high street and online. I first got my first kit when it went on sale at Boots and i have not looked back. It's a little pricier than the others i've seen around on the market and they have so so many different designs for the can and so many different scents. The only downside is you gotta be careful not to get white marks on your darks after applying. Major pro for me, is that i apply once in the morning and even at say 9pm in the evening, i still smell goodt.
